Elsadig Elsheikh

  • Elsadig Elsheikh is the Director of the Global Justice Program at the Othering & Belonging Institute at the University of California, Berkeley. Elsadig's research focuses on the global North-global South inequity related to socio-political dynamics, nation-state and citizenship, and structural mechanisms of inclusion/exclusion. Elsadig has authored and co-authored several publications and co-led several initiatives on climate displacement & the right to stay, corporate power and the food system, Islamophobia, the inclusiveness index, UN human rights mechanisms, Sudan’s transition to democracy, the Nile Project, and the Shahid Project. Elsadig holds degrees and training from Panteion University, Athens, Greece, the Ohio State University, Ohio, SIT Graduate Institute, Vermont, and Columbia University, New York.
