Linda Hyökki

Linda Hyökki is an independent researcher focusing on islamophobia/anti-Muslim racism in Europe, racialization of Muslims and Islam, gender, and the Muslim convert experience. She obtained her Ph.D. in 2023 from Ibn Haldun University, Istanbul. She is Senior Policy and Advocacy Advisor with the European Coalition of Cities against Racism (ECCAR) where she works on local level public policy in anti-Muslim racism and antisemitism. She has also worked as a freelance consultant in projects on hate speech and anti-discrimination with organizations such as CLAIM, CEJI, and IEMed and does regular media commentary on Islam and Muslims in Europe.
